My friend, Al-Muhajabah, has linked to an article that states what should now be obvious:
The evidence thus far, however, indicates that Muslims living in America have not constituted a social base for al-Qaeda. It is striking, in fact, that so little illegality has been uncovered in a population so thoroughly investigated and watched. The prosecutions of alleged terrorist-related activities, which should represent the most definitive picture of how the government views the internal threat, have established very little -- if anything -- that could be described as evidence of al-Qaeda cells operating in the United States. Nothing else in the publicly known record of this massive law enforcement and intelligence effort suggests that a conspiracy exists, a remarkably clean bill for these communities. (emphasis mine)
Add that to the myths and lies told to Americans about the war on terror.

Al Muhablah (doesn't her pic remind you of that beady eyed female homicidal terrorist talking on the cellphone during the Beslan killings) would like to believe this article. However, there is plenty of evidence that organizations like CAIR are involved in rabid anti-american spewage. I recall reading a nice book about an Iranian lady who infiltrated several mosques in the mid-west and reported on incendiary anti-american venom there.
Let's face it, Islam has been hijacked around the world by psychotic killers in tunics. And while many Muslims aren't part of the radical kill the West movement, many are silently going along with it. Apparently here in the US as well.
The threat is indeed real. And Angry Desi won't be spared from the rod either, should these radicals have their way and impose Sharia in the US. His tongue would be among the first to be cut out.
1 minute of googling turns up this evidence to counter Muhablah's meager posting:
In 1981, Marzook founded the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP) in Richardson, Texas. Throughout the decade, the organization featured Hamas terrorists and radical clerics as keynote speakers at its annual gatherings. The 1989 convention in Kansas City was addressed by a veiled terrorist who recounted the sabotaging of a bus that killed 16 people in Israel. One year later, at another IAP conference in Kansas City, leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas were featured guests. FBI Counterterrorism chief Oliver Revell told The Washington Post on October 31, 1998 that, “IAP is a Hamas front…It’s controlled by Hamas, it brings Hamas leaders to the US, it does propaganda for Hamas.” The IAP remains active today.
